Tinolang Isda | Fish Tinola (Soup with Fish)

Hubby and I want a different viand and since we still have a lot of fish in the freezer, we thought last night that we should have tinolang isda or fish tinola today (I still am not sure what the English term for this recipe is – still searching though). Hubby is a better cook so I let him have the kitchen. I am a better “eater” hahaha.

Hubby’s simple version of tinolang isda recipe:

2 slices malasugue
1/2 medium size onion sliced
2 medium size tomatoes
salt

How to cook:

Clean the fish. In a pot bring to a boil 1 1/2 liter of water, add onion and tomato (we do not have in tanglad and ginger which you can also add) then simmer for 3 to 5 minutes. Add in the fish and continue to simmer for 3-5 minutes. Season with salt to taste. Cook until fish is already cooked. Serve hot.

It is just a very simple recipe coz we really did not plan to cook this when we went to the market last week. But good enough to have a hot soup on a cold, rainy weather like what we have here today.

ok rin yung gawa ng hubby mo. for me para mawala ang langsa ng isda, parang igigisa ko muna then add the water. ginger is the best ingredient para mawala ang langsa i think. put repulyo pag luto na para malutong.
