Potential Cause of Thyroid Problem… Take It Easy of Soy-Based Food
Interesting to know now that one of the potential causes of thyroid problems is…
“Excess consumption of soy-based foods and beverages (Turner recommends no more than one serving a day of soy products, sticking to minimally processed or fermented varieties such as tofu or tempeh).” This was what I read as mentioned here.
There was a time when I used to eat daily taho or what they call soybean custard or soy pearl drink. But I had stopped after seeing some sanitation concerns on how it was served (since I cannot see the process of how it was made). That had been my additional source of protein in the daily diet. I have yet to try tofu. I have somehow stayed away from this kind of food since. Maybe I could try it and who knows I’ll learn to love it just like a fellow mommy-blogger who loves to eat it almost everyday. *wink*
