Printing Needs

My sister has some reports that need to be printed. I wish we can help her. Though she is now looking into those brother printers that are on sale online the other day. There was also a special sale a few weeks ago that she said she should have gone for.

The printer in their office isn’t functioning well and though there is a replacement to arrive yet in a few weeks time. She needs to have those reports printed by early next week. If not for the urgency of her printing needs, she won’t have to find ways on her own. She can’t wait for the replacement printer in their office so she have to find away on her own.

No Change

There is one particular mall in the city that still continues with its practice of not giving centavos as change to most of their customers. It may be okay for some customers who simply disregard centavos anymore. But how about those other people who don’t have much money. Like yesterday, a young man probably a student was not given his change of 0.55 centavos. This may be simply nothing to you and it may not be relevant but for me if you would consider this as a regular practice of the mall it may sum up to something big for someone especially the poor.

Let us just take for example that they won’t give me 0.25 for every transaction without even bothering to say they lack change. I go to this mall and buy from them at least four times a week. That would count as at least one peso already a week and given there are 52 weeks a year so that means they short-changed me with P52. For the rich it may mean nothing and they might not care but for ordinary people like me and many others who are usually their customers every single day, this P52 per customer will matter. How many customers go in and out buying from them every day? Many! So yesterday upon looking at that young man who could not say anything, I had to speak to the cashier to tell their management that it is not right for them to continue with this practice. There is a bank within the mall and the mall is a big company. I am sure the bank will be able to give them those 25 centavo coins. Because I think it is also unfair that they take their customers for granted just because it is simply P0.25 or P0.55 centavos that they don’t give back assuming to each of their customer unless a customer is every ready with change in her wallet just in case the mall has no change.

My suggestion then to the mall is that they price their goods rounded up to the nearest peso. At least that way those centavos they get from customers can be accounted for as sales. This may just appear like senseless ranting for customers and consumers who don’t care but I think the mall can at least account for everything properly. Or maybe at least like small stores anywhere who would give candies in exhange for centavos. After all they surely have lots of candies in the grocery. A candy for me is better than losing at least P52 each year. But if they donate my P52 (for example) to Bantay Bata 163 then I will be glad to hear that. At least something good comes out of those forgotten cents that they and many people now disregard. One least thing they can do too is to advise people that they have no change. The courtesy is the least that they can do for that money that some people work hard for to earn and spend.

Investment

If you were to explore the world of investing, other than stocks and bonds, would you buy gold or any other precious metal for an investment? I would if I have the financial resources available. Investing is something I like to do and hopefully this endeavour would prove profitable indeed for my family’s future.

As for now, I can only wish I can invest in gold and that is something I wish will be realized in the near future. People will find an investment a good asset for the future. Even if the economy may go down, it will always recover taking this advice from financial and investment experts.

New Office

I was surprised to find out that a friend has decided to quit her career in the government and decided to start her own business and she has a new office located near the mall and I have passed by seeing her new office twice or thrice already. Now i figured out why she was asking friends over at a social network for office decorating ideas a couple of months back.

I remember her asking for a custom framed art store and I just recently found one online and suggested that to her. She was grateful for the suggestion since her husband found a few interesting art pieces they might acquire for her new office. I am excited for the blessing of her new office next month. We’ll be seeing some of our old friends for the blessing of her new business office.

Posters

I was supposed to go back to sleep now when remember that my sister called last night and was asking me to hel in printing posters for an office campaign that they will be doing in a couple of weeks. I cannot remember the name of the local printing company nor their phone number.

I just suggested she may want to try this online business card printing company if she likes. She said she will be bringing this up to the marketing committee in their office. I hope they can work this out this week sinc I know that their poster printing service only has a 24 hour turnaround. I hope that helps them get the order of posters done in no time.

Something to Seriously Consider

When I try to think of my family’s future especially for our son, I try to think always of good ways to save and invest for his future. There is something to seriously consider if and when you want to make a stable but long term investment, invest in gold bullion which we all know is one unique investment that a lot of people I know dream of.

As for us, we seriously have to work harder to save and hopefully invest in this kind of investment. Given the proven ability to diversify investments, protect wealth and preserve one’s purchasing power so I think serious investors are truly interested in this.
