The lil boy’s M school has opened the Chinese lessons as an elective class starting tomorrow with a new teacher this year. With a thought of transferring the lil guy to another school by next school year for his last year in prep with choices of two big schools in our mind which has Chinese classes as part of their curriculum as well, made me think should we consider enrolling him for this elective or not. But since he still has a lot to learn in English then maybe the chances of going for this Chinese elective is slim. But if he could catch up well on both, why not?

We have temporarily stopped the soccer class for the little guy starting this month due to a health concern. Well we just want him to rest from this and fortunately his cough (not persistent during the day though yet is just there noticed once a day perhaps of coughing which lasted for a month and a week I think) has gone away. Praise the LORD for hearing my prayer!

Cough and colds was rather common in their school last month. More on cough that even the teacher I think and the coach caught probably due to the weather and kids in an airconditioned classroom school environment makes it more prone for the sickness to be passed on. A classmate also stopped from soccer class because of cough a few weeks back. I even saw his girl classmate coughing when she came to school the other day. I had to tell her to cover her mouth as she coughed in front of my son. That’s why I always remind my son to cover his mouth then when he was also coughing last month.

The lil boy pursued his ASC or after school care during the first day sked in the week of the soccer class. It was usually suspended for one day a week since it comes in conflict with the soccer class time. But now I am opting more on the ASC while we let him rest even though he will skip soccer class in December too. There are fewer days for soccer class too in December as pointed out by the school cashier to hubby. So hopefully by January we may let him go back. Until then, he will focus more on school learning to make the most of the tuition we worked hard to pay for.

The school of the little boy has texted us before evening of yesterday informing us that there will still be classes today since most of the students are being conducted privately to and from school. It is no worry for us on that aspect. I am honestly glad that they have school so I can work on my tasks and chores while he is at school.

Well I pray as we always do for a peaceful transport strike. I hope my sisters will be able to go to work safely today without any hassle and difficulty.

God bless everyone!

People choose various careers. These days, my mind has been opened to a different kind of career in the world of cosmetology. When you plan to pursue a career in cosmetology or being a beautician working in a salon, the Cosmetology school is one accredited school of beauty with an ever growing network of campuses and placement relationships such as salons, cruise ships and runways. It is best to be trained in such accredited beauty schools or institutes in order to get the best education and training for this kind of career. Their graduates are said to be sought after in the US.

The little boy has missed soccer classes. Not because he was absent but because last Friday was a local holiday, then Tuesday the coach was sick according to the kids in school or out of town based on the text notice sent by the school. Then next Tuesday is another holiday. Three missed soccer classes already. The school has not replied when I asked if there would be make up class even just for the one day that the coach was not present (not because of the holidays because those are beyond the control of the school).

Not much on the cost of money we pay for the class but the value of time that the kids could learn and practice soccer more is valuable for us parents too.

For quite sometime now I get to read about this make up seminar from other people in a group that I just have become a member of. It makes me think of it like a short crash course for those who aim to go to a cosmetology school perhaps like the Baltimore beauty school. Not much of a make up user myself but it does inspire me to pamper myself to look good by using make up once in awhile. It will help to learn at the least and it can be an alternative career for some people.

The proposal for the school year to be moved from June to September has been revived once again. From what I heard it has been revived every year at this time around. If ever it will be moved, it is like following the school year followed by the school in the US and other countries. The main reason for this is due to the weather condition during the usually start of the rainy season late May or early June just in time when school starts in the country.

A Palace spokesperson said that they will be willing to listen to this proposal if there are other reasons aside from the weather or June being a rainy season. While according to Education Secretary Armin Luistro, they need to study a lot of the effects on this proposal if ever it will be implemented here in our country.

For me, I am fine with the school year that we have now. The weather is still unpredictable and has been becoming more unpredictable as the years go by.

Good thing the mall has educational toys like this now. Before it was not that readily available unless you go to Multiply sites selling educational kids toys like this. But they can be quite expensive and you have to pay for the freight.

I am just so happy that my eldest nephew has finally graduated from high school. As a belated birthday and at the same time a graduation treat, we had a dinner celebration with my boys, my youngest sis, eldest sis and nephew at Bigby’s ML branch. I had three extra gift certificates that I recently bought from them but was not able to give to those people I have intended to give them to so I decided to use those as well for tonight’s treat since the boys and I usually have our bonding dinner on a Sunday. This is a special occasion since this nephew is the eldest of our nephews.

My parents were home for Sunday mass and services at the church there. They were with the other nephews and niece who did not come to the graduation rites anymore. We have an April birthday celebrants family get together coming soon so the celebration may just continue then for those wh were not with us tonight. Two of my nephews have awards as well in their respective recognition days. My eldest niece will have her recognition day tomorrow and she also has an award.

I hope they will pursue their studies well and be able to be productive in the future in the respective careers that they will choose.

My eldest nephew is about to graduate from high school and I remember we once talked in person and over the phone about what course he will like to pursue in college. He did find interest in an it degree while years ago he said he wanted to be a chef too. Well he could make a career on both but with IT people in demand in this age of continuously advancing technology in the world, we would prefer that he pursues a degree in IT indeed and he could always opt for culinary arts as short term course when he has extra time.

How time flies and he is about to graduate. I would still remember the joy to have him as a baby visiting us at my parents’ home years ago and here he is growing up and as I said about to graduate and pursue the university.
