Mad Science Philippines | Astroboy Julius Arvin Atayde and Android Anna Balmonte on ANC’s Shoptalk on Party Entertainment
I just saw the Mad Science Philippines with Astroboy Julius Arvin Atayde and Android Anna Balmonte on ANC tonight. They are indeed great for for party entertainment which young kids will surely enjoy and I am even amused and amazed myself. This is great for kids who are inclined to science and doing experiments. It looks really fun to have them to entertain kids at a birthday party perhaps as they will learn and will be able to bring home some of the projects and stuff that they can make during the party.

Dress for the Promenade
On my way home after sending the little boy to school earlier, I met three high school students from the other school nearby and I heard them talking about planning in advance to look and shop as early as now for their dress for the promenade. Now that had me thinking for a few seconds before I realized they were talking about shopping for a prom dress.
It may still be months away but I know this is one school event that they might have been looking forward too for a long time. I remember my other classmates way back in high school were really excited for th prom as early as when we were still in our second year in high school. Anyway if you are looking for a a beautiful prom dress, you might as well shop as early as now if you want to really look good for your prom date. I saw some prom dresses from formal designers to affordably cheap prom dresses and gowns. Short prom dresses are said to be hot this year. There are affordable short prom dresses that I was able to browse through. There are many choices actually it’s just up to your style. Years and years before, some of the prom dresses I remember seeing were mostly long. But these time I guess they go for short ones. That’s great choice as long as it isn’t too short as to appear improper already to be considered a dress for the promernade, right?
Almost All in Dress
Almost all of my high school classmates were all in dress last night. So I think I made the right choice in wearing a dress which is not my usual preference of clothing but since it was a special occasion as it was our first ever formal reunion after sixteen years since we graduated from high school. Almost all were there when I arrived an hour late from the time set. I had to go back for the laptop which was used for a slide show at the end of our mini program. I did bring a blouse and black slacks just in case many are not in a dress and I was planning to wear it after the party in the hotel and when we hop to another place.
It was a fun night and we were all girls of course since we don’t have boys way back then when the high school was still all exclusive for girls. It was a night full of laughter and fun memories some of which I could not remember my gosh particularly those memories about our teachers and crazy stuff we did. It was fun wearing a dress and maybe I could buy more dressed in case I can do a little shopping next time.
Starved
I was truly starved! Thank goodness hubby was able to cook something when he came home last night. I cannot cook with the little one awake. I wanted to order any food delivery but decided against it since it was quite out of budget at that time. I would reserve it instead for a food trip today with the boys.
We had quite a heavy lunch actually yesterday but this tummy of mine cannot seem to keep up with the kind of diet I am trying to observe with an upcoming class reunion which makes me want to lose weight before that event comes. I am tempted by this nuphedragen that I have read about before. If I would become desperate maybe I would consider taking it. But I hope that I still have two weeks to do something! I wish not to starve myself but the thought of daily exercise like biking till I drop is in my mind now. I just hope I would squeeze in that time when I would be quite busy with work still for the next few days.
Helping Out
Despite the busy days past and ahead, I have been helping out an old friend who is almost about to give birth and it’s about time to shower the mommy-to-be with lots of baby necessities and so there is this simple yet intimate baby shower to be held in a couple of weeks from now and I am trying to help out with the baby shower invitations. Inevitable
Death is inevitable and what a mom of a celebrity said recently, it is the one thing that is sure in life. Having said that then it is something we often take for granted but something we should think of at one point not too late I hope. It is not being morbid but more of being practical coz as we know it is inevitable and comes to each of us at one time or another. So have you ever thought of a funeral planning? This Two-Hour Rotational Brownout
Is it inconvenient? For a mom who has a three year old lil guy in the house, it can be somehow especially when it gets hot and you have to constantly and manually fan the lil one so he won’t sweat so much. For today, we are now experiencing it and waiting for one hour more to go.
I just thought awhile ago, that to make it easy for me, I’ll just think this is our version of Earth Hour happening everyday two one-hours in a row. Earth Hour is only for an hour. This brownout is for two hours now since the late afternoon Thursday announcement from the local electric company. Let’s think we are doing this for mother earth. Actually we can do more. Save energy consumption every day though we cannot do away with that with the A/C for the lil boy and it is summer already and has become so hot lately. Hubby would say we have to make it comfortable for the lil guy in the house.
Don’t forget friends the real Earth Hour 2010 event on March 27, 2010 Saturday from 8:30PM to 9:30PM. Switch off your lights for one hour for mother earth… for the Earth Hour. Your little contribution is significant. If everyone in the country participate sin this, it will still make a significant difference. If you could do it everyday, why not? There need not be an event for us to do something for mother nature.
