Apple iPhone 4 Recall

Hubby early last night mentioned in passing about the rumored Apple iPhone 4 recall. Well I did not pay much attention to what hubby said since I was busy and he also did not say anything further so we dropped that topic. But I read that tweet supposedly from Steve Jobs was  from a fake  Twitter account and not true meaning there is no iPhone 4 recall. But I also heard that there are issues with the use of the latest iPhone 4 regarding dropped calls when held left-handed, also that yellowish screen display, reversed volume control, malfunctioning antenna and a screen that gets easily scratched.

Well if these issues are true, then owners of the new iPhone which has been released recently should definitely get an iphone insurance which protects against accidental damage which accounts for 80% of iPhone product failures. With anything that you spend money that you worked hard for then you must try to have it insured just to be sure. As often said by some if not most people, it is better safe than sorry. Anyway, I hope there is really no need for this iPhone Recall.

Functioning Cellphone

Having a functioning cellphone is still important at certain times for hubby and me for communication when one of us is out of the house. There was one time recently when he went out and I wanted him to buy something but I cannot reach or contact him not knowing where he is by that time. Since he managed to make his cellphone damaged, I was thinking that maybe my sis has an extra unlocked phone that we can use for the meantime. My elder sis now based abroad used to give our youngest some hand me over phones and these are unlocked so that it can be used here. I will try to catch my sis when she goes online and maybe get to ask her this favor for a functioning cellphone that should be unlocked of course or else we still could not make use of it here.

Wishing: Panasonic Lumix LX3

Aside from hunting for a digital photo frame to view and share those captured moments, I am also at the same time hunting for a good point and shoot camera among the different digital cameras that I have been browsing through. I have my eyes set on the Panasonic LX3 for a long time now actually. But hubby seems not sold out to buying it since we already have a DSLR and we have sold our Canon digital camera last year since we felt we don’t need another P&S camera. But sometimes I feel it is just to bulky and heavy to be using the DSLR aside from it easily attracts attention and there are times when a P&S camera would be more apt to use in the sense that it is more acceptable, not intimidating and don’t attract as much attention from other people. Sometimes people look at you as if asking who are these paparazzi? More than that I want something easy and light to carry around yet has good quality of photos and I believe the LX3 photos I have seen look great.

Printer Hunting

I’m taking a break from a busy day and remembered a friend asked for help in hunting online for a good epson receipt printer for their company store. My friend’s company store is choosing among the thermal receipt printer or impact receipt printer. I’ve seen the ones she needs at POSMicro.

A good thermal receipt printer provides a quiet, speedy performance at the point of sale. I have seen this being used by many malls and local stores in here and it is of used to print copies of your credit cards transactions. While most of the stores’ receipt here are often printed with impact dot matrix which I appreciate because the print does not fade as easily as the ones printed on thermal paper by those thermal receipt printers. But there are some that does not fade easily so they may have been printed on good thermal paper or by a goor thermal receipt printer.

It is hard sometimes coz for meticulous consumers, one need to to have those receipts photocopied if you want a copy for record or your own file purpose. Anyway, I think my friend’s company need the thermal type.

Sony Vaio

Lucky Mariel,  a housemate of PBB for she got a Sony Vaio laptop! That had been the laptop I wanted but was not within our budget at that time almost a year ago when I got a new one, an Acer. If you are looking for mobile and wireless connectivity, laptop is more popular compared to desktop. Home Security

We were are the mall appliance center this evening to buy hubby’s advance birthday gift. While the item was being prepared, the sales guy set off the alarm as he took it off the displayed item we bought as the lil boy was touching something below the display area. Our lil boy thought he set off the alarm. The sales guy showed us the wiring that can set off the alarm. We thought it is good for use at home to secure it as it sets off when someone will try to break into our place. I said we can put it in the door and windows and am sure the burglar will be scared away. There are actually home security systems, wireless security systems and security cameras that we can have that will guarantee to secure your homes from thieves, burglars, intruders and other unwanted guests. We especially need to secure our homes especially it is the holiday season and there are certain people who usually strike during these times maybe because out of the difficulties that life brings during these hard times and they want to find ways to have money even if it is done in a bad way. So secure your homes so yo won’t be sorry.
