Hubby and I wanted to try the special chicharon or pork skin crackling from Porky’s Best and compare it with the homemade chicharon of Gerry’s Grill which has become the latest fave of hubby and me. However, the lady from Porky’s Best don’t have a change for our money and so we decided to buy something from the grocery.

We ended up buying two containers of Eden fruit medley at SM which I am eating right now for dinner. I chose lots of sliced ripe mangoes, apple and hubby reminded me to put more of their green gelatin on top for the little boy before I poured the milk. I ate rice during our snacks this afternoon and so I decided to eat now this fresh fruits instead.

The little boy love the green gelatin and the milk. He ignored the slices of mangoes and apples though he used to love eating them so much. He gave them to me saying “Eat Ma” while pointing to the mangoes and apples in his cup. I happily obliged anyway. But I wish he would also eat some of the fruits tomorrow. Now off I go for my third serving. Come here let’s eat!

How I wish we had given away immediately our stroller to some other new parents when I saw it was already really dusty at the back of our place when I found it a few days ago. I would have wanted to give it to one of our acquaintances who is asking for ideas and recommendations on where to find a good stroller.

Speaking of stroller, I remember I had a chat with a friend of mine weeks ago about this phil and teds explorer stroller which her sister-in-law just bought for her baby son. It said to be best known for its optional doubles kit which is great for handling with one child or two. Plus it comes with a stroller frame and wheels with seat fabric, removable seat liner, seat sun canopy, underseat basket and bumper bar.

Here are the features of that stroller in case you want to know.

Ergonomic handle with adjustable height

Quick release wheels with air-filled tires for superior ride

Two pockets sewn into underseat basket

Peek-a-boo window in the canopy

Small pocket on back of canopy for cell phone, keys, wallet

Locking straps hold folded stroller closed

Easy on/off child’s bumper bar

Swivel front wheel can lock in fixed position for rugged terrain

Washable, removeable fabric

Hubby and I got a 3D Elegant Fashion 14″ box fan at SM earlier so that we can alternate it with the aircon as soon as it turns off in the morning. For two days in a row, I set the aircon timer to turn off around 5AM because that is the time that they turn on the engine of the jeepney parked right outside the fence and I really don’t want the smell and the smoke from the PUJ coming inside the little boy’s bedroom through the aircon. They still park their PUJ right there outside the gate very near the aircon, despite our request.

At least this morning, I didn’t hear them stay long outside while the PUJ engine was already running. My arms got tired having to fan my son as he still continues to sleep. I can’t sleep anymore coz I have to continue fanning the little boy using the abaniko. So hubby agreed to buying a small fan with a very soft breeze. It is the first ever box fan we ever had. We were looking for a fan that has a very soft breeze on low. This is the one that we found at the SM Appliance Center. Using this box fan hopefully will lessen our power consumption too!

A few days ago, hubby and the little boy worked hand in hand packing away toys of the little boy in his room that he does not use anymore so as to clear the space and put them in the cabinet. Now I also thought about some books that I was able to bring as well as those that I still left in my parents house since we moved here. I want to sell textbooks which I still have many of them as well as some of the books that my sister in UK sent us which we no longer read. I found before one of the best place to sell used books online where you can indeed sell back your used books online. You can now have a way to get the most of what you have paid for your books back, rather than let them rot and be damaged at your storage in the house.

We might have new neighbors soon. They seem to be a nice family and are we glad somehow that they also have a little boy but looks older than our very own little boy. I hope they would become good playmates if ever they would really move in next door soon. We’d be happy to welcome our new neighbors soon!

God has been good to us and we were able to pay off all bills as of yesterday through the blessings we have received. I need to work fast to meet the coming deadlines. The last thing I want and need is to cram during crunch time. Now the little boy is finally asleep, I’ll try to work fast for the hour or so but I have to be asleep before midnight if possible. I promised myself I need to sleep earlier as much as possible and catch up on lost sleep.

It may sound creepy but it never happened until a minute ago that the door to my son’s bedroom opened by itself. I thought it was the little boy looking for me since I am already up and working in the living room. But when I called out and he did not speak up, I took a peek and found the boys still in bed sleeping. No I did not see anything else unusual.

Okay I will give credit to hubby’s explanation that he might not have closed the door well. There is no wind coming from the living room that might have pushed it open. So it must be the air from the bedroom right? Okay, am gonna cut this story short now before I get more goosebumps.

A friend’s aunt had asked for our help in looking for pond plants such as lotus and lilies for a school project. I remember the park in the city used to have those in the pond near the man made falls in one part of it. But the lat time we went there which was quite a long while already, they were gone.

What I know though is that I have come across before one of the largest selections of pond plants online and I may just recommend that to my old friend’s aunt. All of the plants they sell are shipped direct from the grower fresh, healthy and are not harvested until you order it. They are ready for planting when they arrive and that is what I remember reading from that source.

I suddenly somehow got interested in those plants she was looking for but since we don’t own this place, we may just have to wait till we can have a small pond made in our own place and probably I’ll be getting from that supplier those lotus and lilies.

My sis has been asking me why we buy cooked food especially the viand when we can cook. I told her it is easier and more convenient that way since we are only two in the house who really eats as the little one does not eat much even rice. He has his own diet quiet different from ours. We can also save in gas and electricity plus cost. Also we can buy and eat different kinds of viands each day without having to cook two different dishes. It saves us time too basically and it isn’t expensive unless we buy more than one or two viands sometimes which we can stretch into two or sometimes three meals each day. So that’s basically why we buy cooked food. Though I would love to cook our own viand one day especially those fave ones of ours. For now with no help at home, this will be more convenient for us.

I remember my eldest sister as I came across this easy to build metal building that can serve as your garage or workshop or even functional storage area in your backyard. I recall one time we used to talk about where she could put the other stuff from their old house that are now all stuffed in our parents’ house. There are even some stuff that are left outside the house since my mom would not let her put it inside. Good thing there are less people living there now.

This easy to build structure can be placed in the adjacent vacant lot next to my parent’s place and they could make it a storage place for all the stuff that they don’t really need in the house. You can save so much compared to building a new house or storage room that is. It does not need any maintenance and it is guaranteed durable. I wish we can have this one to give more living space in my parent’s place.
