Golden Dream

Having a simple life should not stop us from dreaming right? There are times that I would think of having what I call the golden dream. It is that dream to be able to save enough money which will allow us to invest in gold. You can always consider safeguarding the money you have saved when buy gold bullion or gold coins. You can protect you money and investment by investing in such as it is much more stable and becomes more valuable as time goes by. It is what financial experts say the safest way that one will be able to protect the  wealth of one’s family. For those living a simple life like me, let’s continue to reach that golden dream and maybe one day, we can make such a precious investment like that.

Printer Hunting

I’m taking a break from a busy day and remembered a friend asked for help in hunting online for a good epson receipt printer for their company store. My friend’s company store is choosing among the thermal receipt printer or impact receipt printer. I’ve seen the ones she needs at POSMicro.

A good thermal receipt printer provides a quiet, speedy performance at the point of sale. I have seen this being used by many malls and local stores in here and it is of used to print copies of your credit cards transactions. While most of the stores’ receipt here are often printed with impact dot matrix which I appreciate because the print does not fade as easily as the ones printed on thermal paper by those thermal receipt printers. But there are some that does not fade easily so they may have been printed on good thermal paper or by a goor thermal receipt printer.

It is hard sometimes coz for meticulous consumers, one need to to have those receipts photocopied if you want a copy for record or your own file purpose. Anyway, I think my friend’s company need the thermal type.

Book Hunting

A few days ago my sis texted me was asking me if I have seen the movie Dear John. No I have not except for the movie trailer on TV and that prompted me to go on a book hunting for a copy of the book Dear John by Nicholas Sparks. But it was no longer available in the local store NBS so I thought I might find a copy of it among the Amazon books. While book hunting online as some are on 50% bestsellers every day, I suddenly remembered something.

I have to add that I wanted to buy a copy of the book “Julie & Julia” by Julie Powell whose movie version I have seen recently and I liked this movie because it is about blogging and cooking which I love and would love to learn, respectively. The book is only about $1.99 online.

Yes I am buying books again coz I need to go back to reading. It has been my passion since early grade school thanks to those book report requirements way back then that I have come to love reading books. I wanna feed my mind too. It has been “hungry” for a few years now since I have neglected reading since I started working and started my own family.

Home Sweet Home

We really wanted to be living in our very own home sweet home. Who wouldn’t want it especially those who have a family of their own like us? The boys and I were at the mall yesterday before hubby went to work. We passed by these real estate agents from various real estate companies. It reminded me of our plan to get a new and better house located in a favorable place and location hopefully for hubby and our family.

As we were looking at a leaflet given to us, there were no computation on the home mortgage loan attached to it. I hope we have a free mortgage calculator which will help us us decide as it figures out the monthly payments of a possible home mortgage loan for us like based on selling price of the house, as well as the term of the desired loan, down payment required, plus the housing loan’s interest rate.

Knowing these info will help us decide if we can afford the new home mortgage loan if ever we decide to go for it. We might give up the old housing loan of the house we are still continuing to pay, if we could find a new home to buy. Continually hoping and praying that the Lord will bless us more in our work so we can save a lot more coz we have a long way to go yet. But hoping sooner or later we will be living in our own home sweet home!

Architectural Style

While waiting for the lil boy to finish eating and watching TV, I decided to browse through for those pine shutters I saw at a coffee shop we passed through last week. It looks something like this one on the photo.

It gives the place a nice architectural style that I wish we can have as part of the design in our dream home. I used to browse through this custom shutter company site which has pine shutters that are hand crafted and  custom built made of high quality material and guaranteed superior craftsmanship. It both has durability and good design of shutters that adds style to one’s dream home.

Worrier

I admit I do worry too about certain things but there is someone in the neighborhood whom I noticed every time I see this person, she is always so worried about something that her brows meet all the time that I do get to see her. I had called her the worrier at one point and I think she’ll be needing a wrinkle crème anytime soon if she keeps that up.

Anyway there are a lot of treatments to remove those wrinkles and I hope it could also remove the worries she seem to have so much of in her life.  I know people cannot help but worry over some concerns in life but if we always worry and show it in our face often then we’d age overnight. She seems just a few years older than me in my opinion but she looks much older than her age. Maybe I’ll trying coaxing her to just smile her worries away the next time I see her around.

Ouch

“Ouch” I could hear our neighbor in the house next to the apartment shout in pain. It made me wonder if she was okay so when I had a chance to go out yesterday afternoon on our way to church, I asked one of her house maids who was then cleaning outside about what happened to her. She said that their maam’s mother is suffering from severe joint pain for a few days already and then grandchild was trying to tug at his grandma to play with him but the child tried to let her stand. Of course she could not walk that easily anymore due to the pain that’s why the grandma shouted. Even if I were in her shoes I would feel the pain too. It might be frustrating for both of them coz those two used to play a lot outside the house when we first arrived here last year. They were close and the child must be wondering why he can’t play with her anymore now.
