I just saw the Mad Science Philippines with Astroboy Julius Arvin Atayde and Android Anna Balmonte on ANC tonight. They are indeed great for for party entertainment which young kids will surely enjoy and I am even amused and amazed myself. This is great for kids who are inclined to science and doing experiments. It looks really fun to have them to entertain kids at a birthday party perhaps as they will learn and will be able to bring home some of the projects and stuff that they can make during the party.

Dress for the Promenade

On my way home after sending the little boy to school earlier, I met three high school students from the other school nearby and I heard them talking about planning in advance to look and shop as early as now for their dress for the promenade. Now that had me thinking for a few seconds before I realized they were talking about shopping for a prom dress.

It may still be months away but I know this is one school event that they might have been looking forward too for a long time. I remember my other classmates way back in high school were really excited for th prom as early as when we were still in our second year in high school. Anyway if you are looking for a a beautiful prom dress, you might as well shop as early as now if you want to really look good for your prom date. I saw some prom dresses from formal designers to affordably cheap prom dresses and gowns. Short prom dresses are said to be hot this year. There are affordable short prom dresses that I was able to browse through. There are many choices actually it’s just up to your style. Years and years before, some of the prom dresses I remember seeing were mostly long. But these time I guess they go for short ones. That’s great choice as long as it isn’t too short as to appear improper already to be considered a dress for the promernade, right?

What to Give

What to give to a five year old? That was something that I have been asking myself since yesterday morning. I wonder if he would love getting one of those personalized baseball bats among those personalized gifts that I found recently which are usually given as gift, souvenir, reward or thank you gift to athletes in one’s family.

This little boy likes sports somehow but not really into the real baseball game though. But I used to see him showing interest in the game when he would see it at the sports channel in the cable tv before. Other than the bat, I may have to find another option of what to give as a birthday gift. I may have to ask my sisters for any other suggestions.

Almost All in Dress

Almost all of my high school classmates were all in dress last night. So I think I made the right choice in wearing a dress which is not my usual preference of clothing but since it was a special occasion as it was our first ever formal reunion after sixteen years since we graduated from high school. Almost all were there when I arrived an hour late from the time set. I had to go back for the laptop which was used for a slide show at the end of our mini program. I did bring a blouse and black slacks just in case many are not in a dress and I was planning to wear it after the party in the hotel and when we hop to another place.

It was a fun night and we were all girls of course since we don’t have boys way back then when the high school was still all exclusive for girls. It was a night full of laughter and fun memories some of which I could not remember my gosh particularly those memories about our teachers and crazy stuff we did. It was fun wearing a dress and maybe I could buy more dressed in case I can do a little shopping next time.

Busy

Today has been a busy day more of the house chores that were left pending since we were busy the past few days and we have been going out since the lil boy’s preschool summer class started. i just tried not to think of being tired and I just worked and worked without letting the idea of being tired going into my mind. At least I may get to have a breather from tasks online tomorrow since we will be going to my sister’s house for a little celebration of mine and my niece’s birthday. Tomorrow I’ll be busy eating… oppps I mean busy hand washing some of the lil boy’s clothes for school next week in the morning then family bonding in the afternoon.

Helping Out

Despite the busy days past and ahead, I have been helping out an old friend who is almost about to give birth and it’s about time to shower the mommy-to-be with lots of baby necessities and so there is this simple yet intimate baby shower to be held in a couple of weeks from now and I am trying to help out with the baby shower invitations. Music & Silence

The lil boy found the birthday gift that hubby hid in our room. Dunno with hubby but he did not give the gift until the lil boy found it on our room’s bed while hubby was getting something from the cabinet that he forgot to hide it again. But I think it’s high time if not too late for the lil boy’s birthday two months ago.

This birthday gift hubby chose was the biggest among the gifts we bought for him. It’s a sing-along magic keyboard in concert. It’s battery operated so hubby thought we really need to buy new rechargeable batteries. Well since the boy was able to open this gift finally before hubby left for work this afternoon, he had been playing it non-stop until he must have been tired that he became silent all of a sudden just awhile ago and when I looked at him he was fast asleep.  He is so happy with the gift. He likes music and he loves to play this keyboard toy. Last night we were playing with his yellow guitar toy which is also battery operated but I dunno but later last night it won’t turn on anymore. We had fun playing the guitar which seems like a piano too. I think we can buy him more musical toys rather than more toy cars. Read the rest of this entry »
