Something I Missed
The hubby brought home last Saturday something that I was looking for during the holy days and something that I missed. Actually we usually have this years before during Holy Week. We are kind of spoiled too by our former neighbor who would usually give this to us during this particular time too. Even the neighbor that we have at my parents’ house would also give us their own homemade root crop and fruit stew as this is called. (more…)
Graduate
I am just so happy that my eldest nephew has finally graduated from high school. As a belated birthday and at the same time a graduation treat, we had a dinner celebration with my boys, my youngest sis, eldest sis and nephew at Bigby’s ML branch. I had three extra gift certificates that I recently bought from them but was not able to give to those people I have intended to give them to so I decided to use those as well for tonight’s treat since the boys and I usually have our bonding dinner on a Sunday. This is a special occasion since this nephew is the eldest of our nephews.
Nice to be Young and Beautiful
It is indeed nice to be young and beautiful as I look into the photos of the JS prom of some teens when I visited my sister’s office and the daughter of her fellow office mate just recently had their JS prom at the convention center in the city. Those young and beautiful faces were made more beautiful by the nice dresses that they wore while one of the girls was wearing something that made me think of those Jovani prom dresses that I saw the other day.
These days the prom dresses can vary in style from classic chiq, glam girl, modern urban chiq, princess, rocker glam, sexy diva or short n’ sweet style of prom dresses. Then as I went through some prom dresses recently, it is just interesting to see a black gown worn to a prom. I have yet to see one myself.
These days too you can buy prom dresses in the mall unlike our time they were not readily available and you have to go to designers that really needs some budget for it. Actually it would be nice to be young once again and go to my JS prom once again. It was a fun night to remember.
