Stage Fright
I was going through some photos and I saw those photos of me during an awarding ceremony in our school years back. I used to join contests in English in our school. Though that talent, if I may so, have gone rusty over the years since I have no more time for my passion of reading books and other literature unlike before. Note though that the photo here is not one of the photos of me. LOL!
Looking at the picture reminds me that I used to have this stage fright and may still have this fear of speaking in public or what they call speech anxiety. It is said that one out of every three people say public speaking anxiety is one of their major fear more than losing their job, dying or getting divorced. (more…)
Likes to Eat When Sleepy
Hubby and I noticed lately that our two year old son looks for food when he gets sleepy. Just like last night, after we had our snacks and then later on he went to the ref and took out some food by himself. While eating after awhile, I just heard him say he wants us to sleep already Mama (“tulog na ta Mama”) and the next thing I heard is my hubby telling me that our son has slept in the table with his head slumped on the table.
I was not able to take a snap shot of it though. But I was surprised that he must have been so tired that he slept so quickly just after he uttered those words. Anyway, he woke up a couple of hours later and then he ate again and got sleepy again. He went to bed after awhile which I am grateful so that I can work with some pending tasks here at home.
Wash Day | Laundry Day
Well if you know me, you would know that somehow Monday, the start of the work week for most, for me it is a busy and tiring day. It is my wash day or laundry day coz this is the day that hubby is off from work and he can watch for our CT while I am in the laundry area at the back washing our clothes at the washing machine.
Our washing machine is a few years old and still survived up to now. I would want to buy a washing machine few months ago which is a turbo washer. When I wash our clothes, I am not content to just let it spin, squeeze out the water and go on. I still want to wash it with my bare hands – no gloves. What makes this house chore more tiring is that my back aches and the laundry area is not well ventilated unless I open the kitchen door then air flows there from inside the house. Okay I have to go back to the laundry so that we can have lunch out – bonding time!
