Christmas Vacation

I wish we had pushed through with a Christmas vacation but we can’t since hubby’s work schedule is really busy for the remaining days of this year which is only about a little more than two weeks from today. I recently chatted with a friend living abroad and they cannot come home for the Christmas holidays. They will be having their own family Christmas vacation with her husband’s family and relatives in her in-laws vacation house.

Thinking about that vacation house, I remember a month ago, my friend shared a photo of that lovely house they are going to spend their holiday in. It has those log bedroom furniture that I wish we could also have for my folks to use at home. They love and appreciate the log furniture. My folks are not much into modern furniture stuff so I know they would want that in case we push through with plans before to build some sort of a small rest house on the vacant lot next to our old home. I guess we will remind them of that plan when we get to visit them during our lil boy’s Christmas vacation.

Sleeping Bag For Two

The idea of having an outdoor activity with the boys came to a point where we were talking of a possibility of having a camping at a nature resort. I started looking for a sleeping bag for two when I stumbled upon this Big Agnes King Solomon double sleeping bag is said to be the perfect romantic gift for your favorite couple friends, I mentioned it to hubby because maybe he would be interested in getting one for our future use.

I actually have not ever slept in a sleeping bag before. When we had camping during my grade school days, we slept in a tent and no sleeping bags. I hope hubby will let me buy one, I am sure the one who will be so excited to use it for the first time will be no other than the little guy in the house!

Looking Forward

As for now I am looking forward to a weekend off from work for my dear hubby. Hope the boys and I could find time to have a simple celebration of this rare weekend off for hubby. I am also looking forward to a trip and praying for a good weather. We deserve a time together and it’s an annual thing that we look forward to. Yet I still seem to have that phobia from our last travel. Lord may we have a good weather when we travel, please!

Missed Promo

Hubby was undecided then that in the end we missed a good promo for our plane ticket to a trip somewhere next month. We got free hotel accommodations and we would not want to miss it. But since this trip was unplanned, we have no budget yet since school has just started and we have scheduled dues to pay off still.

Now the plane ticket is twice the price than that missed promo. I am just praying there is still another better airline promo coming up soon. There was a zero fare promo but that got sold out before we could even open the CEB website. It was kind of expected. We would be so lucky if we got in that promo. Am still praying for another promo. There is still hope that we can save more.

Before Calling It a Night

Doing some important things like looking into this rv insurance, which can give a RV owner true peace of mind and save some money, before finally going to sleep and call it a night. My friend just needed some help on searching for one and so I offered to check it out quickly while I still have a few minutes before I go to bed.

Checking on this just reminded me of how nice it would be to have a RV or what they call recreational vehicle for some road trip while it is still indeed summer time here. Now the thought of a road trip is once again in my mind. I’ll dream on! While for now I just have to call it a night.

Don’t Use Your Cellphone While Driving

Driving while using the mobile phone is dangerous and just awhile ago we passed by a driver crossing the intersection while talking to someone on the phone. The other night too in a busy intersectio in another part of the city, we also saw a driver moving slowly because he was busy texting. Good think nothing happened to him.

These drivers should be taken off the road. I hope there is a law against that here in the city. Some drivers already get involved in road accidents not doing that so how much more if their attention is not on the road all the time? They just scare me when they are on the road driving and doing stuff on their mobile phones. Don’t they ever think of their own lives as well?

Wish We’re There

Wish we were there! I meant that wish we were there at the venue where the annual hot air balloon festival is being held. We were not able to fix our sked so we can make that trip this year. Hopefully next year we will be able to work it out on our third attempt. It is just that the work sked and the little boy’s school somehow gets in the way and we cannot just say let them be absent so that we can just fly and go to that festival.

Let’s Cruise

Let’s cruise! How I wish! This bed weather day and reading updates from friends at Facebook about wanting to do on a vacation now made me wish it was sunny and I am on a cruise with my sister right now! Those carnival cruises offer cruise passengers a variety of on-board dining, entertainment and activity options depending on one’s interest. I read about this last week that made me think there was a cruise that my friend recommended and they tried it with her hubby a few years ago. I wish we have a budget for a cruise now so it remains wishful thinking but who knows one day sooner or later, I might be able to say for real… let’s cruise!

Rent A Car

I was looking for a rent a car service similar to the tampa car rental as I am trying to plan a short trip within the city and I wish to bring along the whole family especially the kids of my siblings when they go on their Christmas break. I remember one of our friends before had a car for rent when we need one. But I lost their contact number aside from what hubby mentioned that they might have sold their car already.

Anyway, I still have a few weeks time to look for a car rental and my sisters may help me find one too. Hope we can work it out for I know the kids will love that trip.

Wishing for Another Vacation

We got back more than a week ago from a very short vacation. Now I hope I am not selfish to start wishing for another vacation especially when I am not feeling that well the past few days, I wish for more time to relax and unwind. I was even wishing for a cruise Royal Caribbean just like what the couple had at the new tv series that we were watching early this morning.

Who does not want to experience five-star dining in grand dining rooms, incredible Broadway style shows, a variety of musical entertainment, state of the art fitness areas, multiple swimming pools and so much more! They got invited by new friends they just met to a cruise for free! I wish someone would do that to us too!
